π What if students could experience the science they learn about in the classroom?
The Curriculum Project at Museum Of Senses Prague connects school curriculum with experiential learning. Instead of replacing classroom education, it reinforces familiar scientific concepts through observation, exploration, interactive museum experiences, and guided activities.
The project follows students as they progress through education. The same curriculum topics return with increasing complexity, while the language, challenges, and expected outcomes develop with each age group. Through three Sense Quests for ages 4-18, students move from recognition and creativity to explanation and application, and finally to scientific reasoning, critical thinking, and reflection π¬π§
SENSE QUEST JUNIOR | AGES 4β8
𧩠Play. Discover. Learn. At the first level, children explore scientific concepts through recognition, observation, and creativity. Sense Quest Junior guides young explorers through four playful educational stations where they find exhibits, try them, draw, observe, and identify the senses they use. Age-appropriate activities develop curiosity and fine motor skills while introducing learning through direct experience β without feeling like a school assignment.
SENSE QUEST EXPLORER | AGES 9β13
π Explore. Test. Figure it out. As students grow, observation develops into explanation and application. Sense Quest Explorer connects five selected exhibits with 10 Challenges. Children first experience a scientific principle and discover why something happens, then use their new knowledge to solve a connected problem. The activity strengthens curiosity, logical thinking, and problem-solving while connecting science with situations from everyday life.
SENSE QUEST DISCOVERY | AGES 14β18
π¬ Observe. Question. Discover. At the most advanced level, students move towards scientific reasoning, critical thinking, and reflection. Sense Quest Discovery introduces 10 curriculum-based missions covering the brain, memory, light, balance, sound, and more. Students read a Science Fact, solve a Challenge, find the principle in action inside the museum, and record a Discovery Note β connecting classroom knowledge with evidence and real experiences.
LEARNING THAT GROWS WITH STUDENTS
π± The Curriculum Project is more than three educational activities. It is one learning journey designed to develop alongside students. Familiar scientific topics return at different ages, but every new level asks students to observe more closely, understand more deeply, and use their knowledge in increasingly independent ways.
3οΈβ£ Three stages of one educational journey:
β«οΈ Junior | 4-8 = recognition, observation & creativity
β«οΈ Explorer | 9-13 = observation, explanation & application
β«οΈ Discovery | 14-18 = scientific reasoning, critical thinking & reflection
β«οΈ Curriculum topics connected with scientific principles
β«οΈ Learning reinforced through interactive museum experiences
β«οΈ Guided activities that encourage exploration and reflection
The goal is simple: not to replace the classroom, but to give students a place to experience what they learn.
